Community

Although all our projects are based on academic support, we believe it is important not to lose sight of the environment in which these things take place. That is why our community aim goes beyond the purely academic and aims to ensure that students feel connected to their place of study, know where to find different types of support, and are informed about their rights as students.

projects

Wellbeing
  1. Together with UCSA and CAR we will organize two community dinners in the upcoming academic year where you can enjoy some delicious food, share your concerns or simply connect with other students!
The first dinner will happen after the fall break!
  2. We will organize open dining hall sessions on the weekend twice a semester to give students a nice study spot when the semester gets a bit more stressful 🙂
Support

This project is focused on all FLISS (first-generation low income scholarship students) related matters. The FLISS board is currently looking for new members. Reach out to us if you are interested in joining!

In the beginning of the fall semester we organized the first FLISS booksale which was a massive success with over 1000€ raised for the scholarship!

It is always possible to donate at https://www.uu.nl/en/organisation/donate/named-funds/ucu-fund

Advocacy
  1. Are you involved in a committee that works on issues concerning student advocacy and are interested in what help we can offer? Reach out to us any time!
  2. The Diversity Coalition is an open forum for discussions surrounding diversity at UCU, both within academic spaces and outside. Join them for an open meeting on October 1st to collectively discuss the plans and goals for the next year!
